Blending with 2 Tombow Markers

One more option for creating ombre lettering is using the lighter color to blend the darker color! See the steps below!

Materials

For this technique, paper matters! It won't work on regular printer paper!

  • two Tombow dual brush markers

  • a slick paper, like Bristol paper or marker paper

Steps:

1. Select two Tombow Dual brush markers. You can use two values of the same color or you can use two colors that go together well, like pink and blue.

2. Using your lighter marker, letter your word onto a slick surface paper, like Bristol paper or marker paper. I have linked to some of my favorites! For more images of this process checkout this blog post!

3. Use a straight edge to plan where you want to divide you word.

4. Color above or below your dividing line with your darker color! Try different styles! Here are a few varieties below!

5. Now using your lighter color (the color you used to letter your word), blend the darker color down! To watch the process start to finish, watch this Instagram reel!
